Auction for Virginia Pierce

Over the past 25 years I have met a lot of people and made a lot of friends playing Magic the Gathering. We have all spent a lot of money and time building decks and playing the game but rarely do we get to actively make the world better by playing a game. Next Saturday we get to do just that.

As many of you already know one of our long time local players, Virginia Pierce, is having the fight of her life.

Virginia has been going through a rough battle this year against a rare cancer called ocular melanoma. With bravery and positivity, she is doing everything in her power to fight it. However, both the cancer and the treatments have taken a toll on her and she is currently not able to return to work. Bryen is needed at home full time and is doing his best to help take care of Virginia and their three young children. Therefore, they have zero income coming in. – See more at: http://www.youcaring.com/medical-fundraiser/help-the-pierce-family-/194122#sthash.mOMtuRBP.dpuf

We are going to do everything in our power to get Virginia though this. Below you will find a number of items, mostly Magic related that have been donated to be auctioned off. 100% of the money collected for these items will go to Virginia and her family.

Here is how this is going to work. If you see something below that you want to bid on send an email to richmix@richmondcomix.com with “Virginia Auction” in the subject line. Tell me what you want to bid and I will put you down for that amount. We will be announcing the winners of the auctions Saturday at 4pm.

Because of the overwhelming generosity of the Richmond Magic community I have more items to auction than time to post them so we have added a second auction to this event. Next Saturday when I open at 11am we will have a table set up with the rest of the items for auction. This one will be an open auction where we will have a sheet where you can make you bid. Anyone can look at the bids and outbid you. The winners of those auctions will also be announced at 4pm. Another perk to this is that you still have time to donate! Anything brought in between now and next Saturday will be a part of the open auction.

Yes, there are supposed to be three of the same card. If there are any questions please let me know.

Our Schedule for Saturday looks like this:
